Come join us to praise Our Lord at Catholic Underground: Mardi Gras!, co-hosted by St. Bernards Young Adult Ministry. Beginning at 7:30 PM on February 21st, we'll have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a time of praise and worship, sung Evening Prayer, and a homily by Fr. Dave Bonnar, pastor of St. Bernard Parish and formerly rector of St. Paul Seminary, Diocesan Vocation Director, and Vicar for Clergy. We'll close the Holy Hour with Benediction, and then the St. Bernard's Young Adults will be hosting a Mardi Gras after-party! We'll have pancakes and all the fixin's! Pancakes are a traditional Fat Tuesday treat because in many cultures meat, eggs, milk, and sugar are avoided during the Lenten Fast. Some other sugary, fatty, and delicious treats will be available too. We'll have orange juce and cranberry juice. BYOB if you'd like to add a little "kick" to your juice or bring another beverage of choice. Come dressed in Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold. We'll provide the beads (and some special Catholic beads, of course!)

Our next Catholic Underground will be Friday, December 9th at 7:30 PM, graciously hosted by St. Bernards Young Adult Ministry. During the time of fellowship following the Holy Hour, we will be having an open mic night to rejoice in the Joyful Expectation of the Advent season. Bring a song, poem, or piece of prose! Come out for Catholic Underground this Saturday, October 16th! We will be having a Religious Vocations Night, for which we've invited a number of vocation directors representing religious communities and the diocese. It will be a great opportunity to meet and mingle with some brothers, sisters and priests who love the life to which the Lord has called them!

A September date was not originally posted on our schedule, but there will indeed be a CU this month! It will be on 18th (as always, the third Saturday of the month). Check back for info on our artist.

Come out to St. Matthew's tomorrow night, Saturday, August 21st, at 8:00pm to worship the Lord and hang out with other Catholics! Our guest artist will be Elise Hindmarsh. Elise is a Pittsburgh native. Her style shifts between contemporary Christian and acoustic/folk, but her lyrics remain an authentic reflection of her desire for a deeper understanding of self, God and those around her.
